Adjusted Hours and Impacts

Wild Canada: The south pathway of Wild Canada will be temporarily closed as of 1:30 p.m. today, March 9 to support introductions between our Canada lynx. This temporary closure will give both the cats and their dedicated care team the privacy and space needed to safely manage the introduction. Thank you for your understanding.

Early Building Closure: Last entry to the ENMAX Conservatory will be at 3:00 p.m. and last entry to Kitamba Café will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27th, to accommodate set up for our ZooDunnit (18+) event. Thank you for your understanding.

Penguin Café: Penguin Café will be temporarily closed from Monday, March 9th, to Wednesday, March 11th, while we complete renovations. The North Gift Shop will remain open during this time. Thank you for your understanding.

Seasonal Closures

Gorilla Amphitheatre: The Gorilla Amphitheatre is closed for the season from October 15th, 2025. Our gorilla troop remains viewable in their indoor habitat.

Prehistoric Park: Prehistoric Park is closed for the season from October 27th, 2025, pending favourable weather conditions.

Animal Viewing Impacts:

PETRONAS Gateway to Asia Malayan Tapir Viewing: ‘Sempurna’ and her calf have daily access to the main indoor habitat from 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. They’ll also have access to their behind-the-scenes space and may choose to spend time there, especially when the calf is nursing, so viewing isn’t always guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

Exploration Asia
The Exploration Asia Redevelopment project is officially underway! While there are some viewing impacts in the area, you can still visit many of your favourite species.

  • Species Viewable: Bactrian camels, Komodo dragons, white-handed gibbons, Malayan tapirs, red-crowned cranes, Turkmenian markhors, Amur tigers, wild boar, and Pallas’s cats.
  • Species Not Viewable: Snow leopards and red pandas have been relocated during construction, but don’t worry – these beloved species will be back in 2026. Our peacocks and Dalmatian pelicans are currently spending time in their winter holding space.

West Gate Closure

Due to significant construction activities in and around Exploration Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed for the 2025 season and is expected to remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

SCHEDULE: There are 3 seating times available. Please select the time associated with the seating of your choice when selecting tickets.

  • First Seating: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - (arrival time 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.)

  • Second Seating: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - (arrival times 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

  • Third Seating: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. - (arrival times 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.)

Booking Information

  • Seating will be at tables for groups booked on an order. Guests that are on separate orders that wish to be seated together must be requested in advance in the note field below and booked into the same location and time. Tables will not be re-arranged on the day of the brunch.

  • All special diets must be pre-ordered and requested by Midnight 1 day prior to the event. This can be completed in the note field below or contacting Guest Relations (403)-232-9300.

  • Ticket sales end at midnight 1 day prior to the event.

  • Includes Day Admission to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo starting at 9:00 a.m. First seating can enter starting at 8:45 a.m.

  • Does NOT include admission to ZOOLIGHTS which is a separate ticketed event.

  • Infants (under 3) are free, please advise if you have any infants or require a high chair in the note field below. Must be requested in advance to be accommodated.

  • Please note that your ticket price already includes gratuity, which compensates our staff for their service.

  • Please plan your arrival time accordingly to allow yourself sufficient time to enjoy brunch during your seating. Please note both the room and buffet will be cleared promptly at the end of the seating time. Thank you for your understanding.
