Animal Viewing Impacts

Black Bears: Our black bears will be intermittently off-view between Tuesday, October 6, and Friday, October 23, as shingles are replaced on the viewing areas. Thank you for your understanding.

Sichuan Takin: Our Sichuan takin will not be viewable on Wednesday, October 14, to accommodate habitat maintenance. Thank you for your understanding.

Turkmenian Markhor: Our Turkmenian markhor will not be viewable on Thursday, October 15, due to planned habitat maintenance. Thank you for your understanding.

West Gate Closure

Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

Additional Booking Information

  • To be seated with another booking, please submit your request in the note field at time of purchase or contact Guest Relations (403)-232-9300, at least 24 hours in advance. Tables will not be re-arranged on the day of the brunch.

  • Ticket sales end at midnight 1 day prior to the event.

  • This event includes day admission to the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo starting at 9 a.m. First seating can enter starting at 8:45 a.m.

  • This event does NOT include admission to ZOOLIGHTS, presented by Olympia Trust Company, which is a separate ticketed event.

  • Infants (under 3) are free, please advise if you have any infants or require a highchair in advance. Highchairs are available while supplies last.

  • Your ticket price includes gratuity, which compensates our staff for their service.

  • Events at the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo may take place in indoor or outdoor spaces, and accessing event locations may involve navigating varying terrain. While we strive to provide a physically accessible experience for all guests, some areas may be more difficult to navigate. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions about the event, please contact Guest Relations at (403) 232-9300. Wheelchairs, powerchairs, and wagons are available to rent on a first come, first served basis.

  • Please note that our menu items marked as GF are gluten-friendly as we are not a gluten-free facility.

  • ParkPlus Parking at the zoo is $14. Wildlife Guardians and Wild Journey members receive free registered parking if they have successfully registered with ParkPlus.
