Early Closures and Late Openings

Early Asian Highlands Closure: Last entry to Asian Highlands will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, and Sunday, September 27, to accommodate set up for Wild After Hours: Snow Leopards (18+). The area will be cleared by 5 p.m. Thank you for understanding.

Late Zoo Opening: The Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo will open to members and the day admission ticket holders at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, to accommodate our Wild Walk event. Thank you for your understanding.

Animal Viewing Impacts:

Black Bear and Grizzly Bear Viewing Impact: From Monday, September 21 through Wednesday, September 23, our black bears and grizzly bears will rotate through the grizzly bear habitat to accommodate maintenance work in the black bear habitat. Thank you for your understanding.

Polar Bear Viewing Impact: Our polar bears will not be viewable in the main habitat on Wednesday, September 23, to accommodate habitat maintenance. Thank you for your understanding.

PETRONAS Gateway to Asia Malayan Tapir Viewing: ‘Sempurna’ and her female calf ‘Nyawa’ have daily access to either the main indoor habitat or the outdoor habitat from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. They’ll also have access to their behind-the-scenes space and may choose to spend time there, so viewing isn’t always guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

West Gate Closure

Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed for the 2025 season and is expected to remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

SCHEDULE: There are 3 seating times available. Please select the time associated with the seating of your choice when selecting tickets.

  • First Seating: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - (arrival time 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.)

  • Second Seating: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - (arrival times 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

  • Third Seating: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. - (arrival times 2:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.)

Booking Information

  • Seating will be at tables for groups booked on an order. Guests that are on separate orders that wish to be seated together must be requested in advance in the note field below and booked into the same location and time. Tables will not be re-arranged on the day of the brunch.

  • All special diets must be pre-ordered and requested by Midnight 1 day prior to the event. This can be completed in the note field below or contacting Guest Relations (403)-232-9300.

  • Ticket sales end at midnight 1 day prior to the event.

  • Includes Day Admission to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo starting at 9:00 a.m. First seating can enter starting at 8:45 a.m.

  • Does NOT include admission to ZOOLIGHTS which is a separate ticketed event.

  • Infants (under 3) are free, please advise if you have any infants or require a high chair in the note field below. Must be requested in advance to be accommodated.

  • Please note that your ticket price already includes gratuity, which compensates our staff for their service.

  • Please plan your arrival time accordingly to allow yourself sufficient time to enjoy brunch during your seating. Please note both the room and buffet will be cleared promptly at the end of the seating time. Thank you for your understanding.
