Early Zoo Closure: Last entry to the Wilder Institute’s Calgary Zoo will be at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 11, to accommodate set up for our ZooBrew (18+) event. Last entry to buildings will be at 4 p.m. and the zoo will be cleared by 5 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
Early Wild Canada Closure: Last entry to Wild Canada will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, to accommodate set up for our FOCUSED (16+) event. Thank you for your understanding.
Early Asian Highlands Closure: Last entry to Asian Highlands will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, and Sunday, September 27, to accommodate set up for Wild After Hours: Snow Leopards (18+). The area will be cleared by 5 p.m. Thank you for understanding.
Polar Bear Viewing: Our polar bears will be temporarily off view in the main habitat from Tuesday, September 8, through Wednesday, September 16, while planned habitat maintenance is underway. The polar bears may still be visible in the courtyard through the amphitheatre window. Thank you for your understanding.
PETRONAS Gateway to Asia Malayan Tapir Viewing: ‘Sempurna’ and her female calf ‘Nyawa’ have daily access to either the main indoor habitat or the outdoor habitat from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. They’ll also have access to their behind-the-scenes space and may choose to spend time there, so viewing isn’t always guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed for the 2025 season and is expected to remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

To purchase tickets in advance for daily admission, please follow these steps:
Log into your Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo account associated with your tourism partner ticket program*. Log into your account here.
Select the experience date.
Choose the number of tickets needed for each age range, including general (aged between 16 - 60), senior (aged 60+) and children (ages 3 - 15).
Enter your promo code.*
Add the tickets to your cart.
Confirm your order by clicking "Check Out".
After checking out, you will be prompted to enter your card information to complete the purchase.**
Once purchased, tickets will be sent to the email address associated with your account.***
*If you do not know the email address or promo code associated with the tourism partner program, please reach out to tourism@calgaryzoo.com to have your account set up or verified.
**If you'd like to purchase more than 99 tickets at one time (33 tickets per category) and/or receive hard copy tickets, and/or pay by invoice/cheque please call Guest Relations at (403) 232-9300 and place your order through a team members. Guest Relations is open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After purchase, Guest Relations will print the tickets and prepare them for pick-up on the same day.
Please note: If you'd like your tickets shipped, please be aware that we use Canada Post for shipping. It will take approximately 3-10 days to receive the tickets once an order has been made. If you require the tickets faster than the shipping timelines provided by Canada Post, you will need to arrange an in-person pick-up at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo North Entrance ticket office. If you choose to have your tickets shipped, the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is not responsible for any tickets lost or stolen during the shipping and delivery process.
***If receiving a digital copy of your tickets, we recommend printing your tickets as soon as you receive them and keeping them safe until ready for use to avoid potential duplication.
Please ensure that you keep your original tickets PDF file safe and secure. If tickets need to be reissued, any previously distributed tickets, if not already used by guests, will be rendered void.
Daily admission tickets permit entry to the zoo between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and are not valid for special experiences or ZOOLIGHTS.
In the event of extreme weather or unexpected zoo closures, your tickets will remain valid for another date within the original validity period.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Tickets do not permit re-entry to the zoo.
Tickets are only valid from the date of purchase until May 14, 2026, excluding blackout date(s) December 25, 2026.
