Polar Bear Viewing: Our polar bears will be temporarily off view in the main habitat from Tuesday, September 8, through Wednesday, September 16, while planned habitat maintenance is underway. The polar bears may still be visible in the courtyard through the amphitheatre window. Thank you for your understanding.
PETRONAS Gateway to Asia Malayan Tapir Viewing: ‘Sempurna’ and her female calf ‘Nyawa’ have daily access to either the main indoor habitat or the outdoor habitat from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. They’ll also have access to their behind-the-scenes space and may choose to spend time there, so viewing isn’t always guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.
Due to significant construction activities in and around Imagine Asia, the zoo’s West Gate will remain closed for the 2025 season and is expected to remain closed until at least 2028/2029. This necessary step supports the safe movement of visitors while we undertake exciting improvements to animal habitats and visitor experiences.

Welcome parents! We're excited you've chosen the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo as the camp experience for your children! Please browse through our camp selection below.
Please note: Camper age is now automatically verified by the system at the time of booking based on your account information. It cannot be manually overridden by staff and therefore campers must meet the minimum age within five days of the camp starting date. For example, if your child is registered in a 7/8 year old camp starting, July 2 they must be turning 7 by July 6 to proceed with registration. This is a camp-wide policy and no exceptions are permitted. The bookings system will allow a child who is older to register in a younger camp, provided the difference in age is equal to or less than one year. For example, a 9 year old can register in the 7/8 year old camp if it is deemed a better fit by the registering adult.
**We do not have a waitlist for camps. Please check back regularly for any open spots.
