Animal Viewing Impacts

Polar Bear: Our polar bear ‘Siku’ will not be viewable on Tuesday, January 14th, and Wednesday, January 15th, due to habitat maintenance. 

Malayan Tapirs: Our Malayan tapirs will not be viewable on Tuesday, January 28th, and Wednesday, January 29th, while their habitat undergoes maintenance.

Land of Lemurs Walkthrough & Outdoor Gorilla Amphitheatre: The two outdoor animal viewing areas are closed for the season. Lemurs and gorillas will be viewable in their indoor habitats.

African Savannah Yard: Our Hartmann’s mountain zebras and ostriches are off-view  while we complete exciting upgrades in the African Savannah Yard, including the construction of a new Savannah Barn for the animals. Our giraffe tower will continue to be viewable throughout the project.

Sunlight to ZOOLIGHTS Combo Tickets

The Sunlight to ZOOLIGHTS combo ticket is a special offer that allows guests to visit both the zoo as of 1 p.m. and ZOOLIGHTS in a single discounted ticket.

1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Gates closed 8:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Please refer to the calendar below for pricing.

  • This combo ticket includes entry to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo starting at 1 p.m. and includes admission to ZOOLIGHTS starting at 5 p.m.

  • You cannot leave and re-enter zoo grounds.

  • Last entry for Wild Canada is at 4 p.m and last entry to all other animal buildings is at 4:45 p.m.

  • ZOOLIGHTS starts at 5 p.m. and activities ends at 9 p.m. Last entry 8:30 p.m.

  • Sunlight to ZOOLIGHTS is a separately ticketed event. Day admission tickets cannot be used for entry to the zoo grounds after 1 p.m. or for ZOOLIGHTS.

  • Sunlight to ZOOLIGHTS tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please visit our ZOOLIGHTS FAQ page for more information on our cancellation policy.

ZOOLIGHTS is closed to the public and members on the following dates:

  • November 26th: Closed for a private event.

  • December 25th: The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is closed.

  • December 31st: This evening requires a separate ticket. Tickets go on sale soon.
